2/18/2024 0 Comments Aerofly rc 7 vs aerosim rcI found the soaring to be a revelation and pretty accurate at capturing the feeling from sloping for real.Īs for recommendations for a novice I'd say that both of these sims will do just fine and teach you everything a sim will be able to teach you, just go with the one that you prefer. RealFlight seems to have more realistic physics, somehow the planes just feel more 'alive' however for my purposes fighting the realistic foibles of a non-existant aircraft is of little benefit as these minutae are always different from plane to plane in the real world.Īs for the scenery the photorealistic sceneries are equally good in both however the rendered 3D backgrounds in AeroFly are pretty horrible compared to the environments in RealFlight but again unless you want to fly using the chase or cockpit views they are a bit irrelevant except for slope soaring, if this is your bag then RealFlight wins by a country mile. The planes seem to fly rather too slowly and rather too perfectly but for the purposes of practicing and getting your thumbs going the right way for any given orientation I find it ideal. I also made a video series about the creation of aerofly aircraft.I've flown both sims pretty extensively, mainly for practicing 3D and I prefer AeroFly. It describes how to develop aircraft in English so anyone can understand it: That part requires some pratice or a good source to check what each parameter does. The second big chunk of time goes into fine-tuning the flight model at least for my aircraft. Creating an authentic looking 3D model is one big part of that but you could easily do a simpler one first. Do you think it's because of the way Aerofly set up the software (as in it's not easy to develop new code / new aircraft), or is it simply a "numbers game" of not enough people using the software because it's seen by the RC/flight-sim mainstream consumers as a mainly, niche "German" language set of software? (even though we all know it's dual language) ĭeveloping new aircraft or scenery is not really difficult. It's not like one can re-texture map it easily, or anything. In the advanced channel setup when I put the dual rates to 60 the, the sliders on the left will go to 60, when I put it to 100 the sliders for all flite channels will go to 100 so in. I'm a designer by profession, but wouldn't have the first clue where to start with this as the graphic formats are so customized and bespoke to RC7. I have today had another go at my dual rates problem but the dam thing will not work with any of the 3D planes. It would require very little to make it correct. I would still love for somebody to "fix" the RC7 "Airwolf" model to be more authentic. Targeted model flight training and incredible fun with airrace, limbo flying, balloon piercing, helitrainer, aerobatics, landing contests, slope flying, 4D scenery and much more. There are really only a tiny amount of add-ons for either RC7 or FS.ĭo you think it's because of the way Aerofly set up the software (as in it's not easy to develop new code / new aircraft), or is it simply a "numbers game" of not enough people using the software because it's seen by the RC/flight-sim mainstream consumers as a mainly, niche "German" language set of software? (even though we all know it's dual language). Aerofly RC 8 is THE model flight simulator with extremely real flight physics, fantastic graphics and VR mode. It's the one area of the Aerofly community that is exponentially smaller than your equivalent with FSX community. The more people get to download the finished scenery the better?! (this might sound a bit selfish maybe.) If even me who knows so much about what is going on misses out on these seneries for month, who else is then?Ī little bit of advertisement really can't hurt. Overall, Aerofly is excellent and possibly the best SIM on the market, but the entire top tier SIMs. Aug 31st 2015 1 This is really directed to Aerofly developers and seem to be issues seen on other forums. There are a lot of new aircraft and scenery that I got to test from other free developers and we share quite a bit of content that is not published yet or maybe never will be. sosterhaus Aug 31st 2015 1st Official Post. I feel that I am quite active in the aerofly community. Every link to a webside upvotes it for google's and other's search engines. They are all phantasic quality!Īnd I still don't understand why he is not sharing his work here in the forums or in the rc-sim forums. He does create new sceneries every now and then.
